Old Town

The heart of Park City, Old Town is rich with history and culture. Old Town was established in the late 1800s as a base for minors who collectively extracted 400 million dollars worth of silver from the surrounding area. Today, the town has a global reputation as a world-class ski destination, the host of the 2002 Winter Olympics, and the site of the annual Sundance Film Festival. Listed on the National Register for Historic Places, Old Town carefully preserves its past through maintaining original buildings while melding in the contemporary architecture and offerings of a modern mountain town.
